The company accepts demand deposits, check deposits, current savings deposits, time deposits, time savings deposits, negotiable certificate of deposits, comprehensive deposits, project discount deposits, and foreign currency deposits; and domestic foreign exchange and commercial bills. It also provides short-term, medium-term, and long-term loans; bill discounts; letters of credit; treasury bills; leasing safe deposit boxes; and guarantees. In addition, the company also invests in financial, public, short-term, and corporate bonds, as well as stocks; collects and pays against agents; and purchases and sells foreign currencies cash and traveler cheque. Further, it provides working capital loans, home loans, real estate mortgage revolving loans, and other project loans, as well as construction financing; insurance products; fund products; financial management services; overseas bond commodities; gold passbook; trust commodities; digital financing; and online and mobile banking services, as well as warehousing, and safekeeping and agency services. The company was formerly known as Bank of Taipei, Ltd. and changed its name to Taipei Star Bank in May 2016. Taipei Star Bank was founded in 1917 and is headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan.
